beginners mind

Well  friends, I am settled in to my new home for the month. Things will get very busy starting tomorrow, so I thought I would share  little while I have time.

 The bell to wake us for morning meditation drifted to my tent bringing me gently from a sleepy haze to fully alert. The day began with  walking  meditation on the beach followed by a  talk about what is in store for us. As I listened I knew my first challenge would be to empty my cup.  So my goal each day will be to start empty. To let  my mind release and be open to being present with this experience as fully as I can.
We can all benefit from this beginners mind. I encourage you to take some time each day to  quiet and be present. Open your self to experiencing something new in a  routine task. Be amazed!
